Por outro lado, é possível contar ainda com o MASS, ou Motion Animation Stability System – Sistema de Estabilidade de Animação em Movimento. Trata-se de uma mecânica que fica inteiramente responsável pela física dos jogadores em campo, que permite o controle total do corpo de cada um em uma jogada. Modos de jogo e estádios PES 2014 vem ainda com diversos modos de jogo, incluindo a já famosa Master League, além de campeonatos e multiplayer online. É possível modificar seu time da Master League e ainda treinar uma equipe nacional. A UEFA, liga europeia, também está disponível como um dos modos de jogo para um participante. Apesar de bonito, falta essência ao jogo, além de um sistema mais robusto de modos disponíveis. PES 2014 tem um visual soberbo, graças a um novo motor gráfico disponível e também ao uso do poder dos computadores mais recentes. Além disso, sua jogabilidade está criativa e bem apurada, com sistemas de física que prometem agradar, sem contar nos sistemas de simulação restantes, como o Heart, que simula a emoção dos jogadores. Os estádios são outro destaque, todos bem representados e com muitos detalhes, a ponto de parecerem fotos de suas versões reais ao mesmo tempo em que são representações digitais. Sem falar na qualidade da narração em português, sempre divertida e bem acertada, com muitos comentários engraçados. PES 2014, porém, peca um pouco na diversão quando chegamos aos modos de jogo, poucos em relação ao concorrente Fifa e também em relação aos jogos anteriores da série. O título se esforça para conseguir atrair mais jogadores, mas esquece de agradar mais quem já é fã.
