Oct 4, 2022 • Review of Fujifilm XF 56mm F1.2 R WR 31 It has became my tradition to make a side by side comparison test when I am replacing one of my existing lens with a new one of same focal length.
The XF 56mm f1.2 R APD lens does have its weaknesses. For one, the price is higher than the regular version, and the autofocus isn’t as fast but quite honestly, I just don’t care because I just love what this lens produces at f1.2. Of course, the non-APD version is excellent as well; I actually reviewed it a while back, and loved it.
But, for now reality is that in crowded FL as 56mm in Fuji X system, there are two obvious choices: XF 56/1.2 R WR if You rally need WR, f/1.2 instead of f/1.4 and aperture ring. If it is not the case, then Sigma 56/1.4 is no brainer and hard to beat. Looks like this new 56/1.2 will be another gem in Fujifilm lens library: https://www
In reply to Cossio • Nov 25, 2016. It is a 23 f1.4 and a 56 f1.2 Both are execelent lenses - one wider than "normal" and the other longer than normal. They are two of the few Fuji lenses highly recommend by photozone. Basted what you posted I would suggest the 56.
